Navigating Through Life as an Empath with Recording Artist Shay J.

'In a world where we are comparing social media, where we are taught and told to be perfect all of the time. We really need to flip the switch, and know that it is so important to acknowledge our mental health. To acknowledge that it's ok to not always have it together, to always be perfect.

‘In a world where we are comparing social media, where we are taught and told to be perfect all of the time. We really need to flip the switch, and know that it is so important to acknowledge our mental health. To acknowledge that it’s ok to not always have it together, to always be perfect. In fact, being imperfectly perfect is what everyone needs to be. It is so important for everybody to really acknowledge that mental health is not something that you should shy away from. ’ We are so grateful Shay J - Former NBA and Canadian Football league dancer turned Triple Threat Canadian Recording Artist who is currently in the process of debuting her new EP Singles Release in Los Angeles joins us in the studio today for an amazing chat about life, about career and shares her own personal story with her mental health and navigating through life as an empath.

One Photographers Vision to Change The Face Of Mental Health.

Glenn Marsden is the founder of the International campaign ‘Imperfectly Perfect’ He is the humble success that brought the @imperfectlyperfectcampaign together which has gone on to gain International recognition within 12 months and has seen over 250 of the worlds most influential public figures get on board his mission.

Losing a friend to suicide and going through adversity himself, his incredible journey of taking a mission to impact the world saw a sheer determination like no other. The @imperfectlyperfectcampaign didn’t come from an organisation with a team behind the scenes, a publicist to get all the publicity, or a team to approach and ask so many of the amazing advocates and faces of the campaign if they would get on board.

This came from a passion, one man, our founder who worked tirelessly reaching out to people to get on board, picking up the phone, learning how to write press releases and ask for help on things he didn’t know, he approached networks with the help of a couple of the advocates on the campaign, then publications that would listen to get the efforts out.

He worked around the clock simultaneously with a young family and a full time job. He worked whilst nobody was watching putting in the blood, sweat and tears and he worked because he cares. He surrounded himself with like minded people who have gone on to help support and build an amazing international team around him these days. ( I am so honoured to be a part of this important legacy alongside Glenn, Eden, Kim, Rob, Jackie, Jeremy, Rob, Rachael, Ryan and Mike )

He turned his own adversity into something pretty special to help countless others around the world and brought so many people together solely who care for making a much needed change with the narrative around mental health. So we ask you guys, get behind Glenn, get behind our global efforts.

One that is fuelled by love for wanting to make a change in this world. Share our message, and help us reach more people who continue to suffer in silence.

For so many people, feeling hopeful about what the future holds is vital to maintaining their Mental Health. This is one of the reasons the pandemic has been so disruptive to so many people’s wellbeing and towards work-forces worldwide. The Imperfectly Perfect Campaign noticed that not only the school system but also the workplace system had and continues to be impacted on the wellbeing of all individuals, so we initiated our International Workshop Series with leading Mental Health & Wellbeing Professionals to change, not just the school systems but the organisations approach in how they look at mental health and wellbeing for their employees.

To find out more about these workshops simply contact us at info@imperfectlyperfectcampaign.org and one of our team will get back to you with our information packs.

Beating The Odds with Anthony Trucks

Anthony Trucks is a self proclaimed "Foster kid turned NFL athlete turned serial entrepreneur." He is a family man, appeared on an American Ninja Warrior, is a former NFL player, Business Owner, International Speaker and Corporate Business Consultant. At the age of three years old, Anthony was placed into the foster care system.

Anthony Trucks is a self proclaimed “Foster kid turned NFL athlete turned serial entrepreneur." He is a family man, appeared on an American Ninja Warrior, is a former NFL player, Business Owner, International Speaker and Corporate Business Consultant. At the age of three years old, Anthony was placed into the foster care system. It’s a well-known fact that up to 50 percent of kids placed in the system will end up homeless upon emancipation, and 75% of prison inmates in the U.S. are former foster kids so needless to say the odds were against him from the beginning. This looming reality was never lost on him and he spent a good bulk of his childhood feeling adrift, unworthy and listless. For years, he spent every day in survival mode, just trying to make it to the next day, week and year in one piece. Listen in to this powerful episode, as Anthony delves in to his story, his personal struggles and how he overcame adversity and turned everything around to become the man he is today. Powerful, inspirational and life lessons that we can all learn from.

A huge thank you as we reach our second year anniversary.

Today see’s us reach our second year anniversary of the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign.

*a few words from Founder; Glenn Marsden.

’It has far surpassed what I set out as a passion project. Gaining international attention within 12 months, amassing worldwide influential public figures getting behind my efforts, a highly acclaimed podcast, got the chance to showcase through incredible advocates helping the efforts to the Mental Health Commissioners Chambers at Parliament House, had meetings in the USA at Paramount Pictures, gained international press coverage and network coverage inc being a guest alongside my good friend and team mate @jeremyjacksonfitness on the Global Talkshows Digital Series going out live to 9 million people, being a guest with the campaign on Amazon Prime show Gown & Out in Beverley Hls and NOW we have our global efforts continuing with more incredible initiatives and the International Workshop Series.

Today we looked at our total combined reach and then across our international exposure from all of our platforms and coverage and are sincerely blown away that we have surpassed 10 million and watching our reach and exposure grow by the day.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every person who has believed in my ‘passion’ project to make a change towards mental health and continuing to get behind the campaigns initiatives to merely get more awareness and help in front of people so that they know they are not alone.’ - Glenn Marsden.

Uncovering Every Ounce of Courage with Actor Gerald Isaac Waters.

Five years ago, Gerald Isaac Waters suffered a fall that left him permanently paralyzed from the neck down, and confining him to a mobile wheelchair. Hearing words like "new normal" and "never again" in a time of such darkness stung even more so than on a day-to-day basis.

Our latest episode for the Imperfectly Perfect Podcast has just dropped with none other than Actor Gerald Isaac Waters who you can currently see starring in the hit movie on @netflix right now ‘All Together Now’ a heart-warming story of finding hope in the darkest of times.

It tells the story of friendship and gives us hope and that tale of friendship in the movie certainly hit home for Gerald as he recalls the moment everything changed for him and how he gathered the strength to rebuild.

“On July 2015, my life tragically took a change. Life as I knew it was over and now I was faced with what would become my new normal. The strength to rebuild and start my new life definitely came in the form of my family and my friends. Having them as my rock when times got hard and as a cheering squad when I started to achieve goals is the reason I am where I am today,"

We are truly thrilled to bring you such an inspirational episode with such an empowering guy who is making a big impact not only in his work, but in the lives of many sharing his story.

To listen to the episode, simply head to Spotify or IHeartRadio, subscribe and check out the ImperfectlyPerfect Podcast.
