Dr. Joe Dispenza gets behind the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign's Global Efforts and shares his story

‘If I could today, teach my body emotionally how I want to feel. Then I have got to remember this feeling and I have got to keep my attention on it, I have got to keep it alive with my awareness and feel the feelings of my future before it happens and if I can maintain this modified state of mind and body, my entire day independent of any of my environment, any drive, any need, any emotion, any habit in my body, and independent of time I can sustain it. There should be something weird, something unusual or something new to show up in my life. And then if at the end of my day, I can say in my ‘Imperfectly Perfect’ self, how’d you do today, where did you fall from grace, where’d you lose it. How could you do it better tomorrow?’ - @drjoedispenza

Nutritional Psychiatrist Dr.Uma Naidoo gets behind the Imperfectly Perfect Campaigns Global Efforts

‘In psychiatry and psychology and in research, people talk about the ‘shadow self’ and I think being a psychiatrist, part of training is being your own therapy and I firmly believe it. I tell all my trainee’s that all the time so that you can understand your own process better. I think for me, Imperfectly Perfect is about acknowledging that i’m not perfect. That, you know I am a nutritional psychiatrist, but I’m most certainly not perfect. For me, it’s about trying to be my best self, acknowledging that it’s not going to be perfect and sometimes that’s very hard because when you are an ambitious person you want to achieve different things and you are excited about that. You tend to want to do everything excellently and that’s hard’ @drumanaidoo

An honour to have Dr Uma Naidoo on board the Global Efforts and share her story, research and findings with our audience on the Podcast.

Michelin-starred chef David Bouley described Dr. Uma Naidoo as the world’s first “triple threat” in the food and medicine space: a Harvard trained psychiatrist, Professional Chef graduating with her culinary schools’ most coveted award, and a trained Nutrition Specialist. Her nexus of interests have found their niche in Nutritional Psychiatry.

She founded and directs the first hospital-based Nutritional Psychiatry Service in the United States and is the Director of Nutritional and Lifestyle Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) & Director of Nutritional Psychiatry at MGH Academy while also serving on the faculty at Harvard Medical School.

She was considered Harvard’s Mood-Food expert, has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the author of the highly acclaimed ‘This is your brain on food’

Motivational Speaker, Author, Woman Of God Somalia Brown gets behind our Global Efforts.

‘I’m not perfect, you know what I mean and I show my flaws. Spiritually, same thing. There are moments when women think, ‘oh my god I want a marriage just like you. I want to have a ministry just like you and I’m like, you don’t know what it’s cost me. People admire and covet, but you don’t know what it took that person, you don’t know what it took Beyonce to be Beyonce. Do you know how many hours she works out. My childhood, I had to give up being a child at some point. You have to give up something to be great. To be a world-changer and that’s imperfect. When we show that side, a lot of people back up. But that’s the imperfect side of you just seeing my platform. Whoever else’s platform who you admire and and want so bad but what did he or she have to give up to get that. That should be the question that every person asks.’ @realonesomalia

Joshua Broome shares his truth on the Imperfectly Perfect Podcast

‘I am a father of 3 beautiful boys, I have a wife who loves me so much and we’ve been married for 5 years last week and I have a story that lets people know ‘hey, if you believe that having all this sex is going to make you happy, it didn’t make me happy. Fame, No it didn’t work. Money, I made over a million dollars at the time in the industry, didn’t work. I actually achieved everything that I believe would make me happier and at the end of it, I was left broken and depressed and I realised that, man if this won’t bring me happiness and piece what will and I get to point someone to that one thing that does provide peace’ @iamjoshuabroome

Upcoming Episode for the @imperfectlyperfect_podcast coming soon

He Was One of the Top Five Male Porn Stars in the World. Now He’s a Pastor.

Joshua Broome wanted to die. After achieving fame firstly in acting then the porn industry, he spirraled down into a pit of confusion, was at the end of himself — and believed he had no viable path forward. Seeing beyond the fog of the present felt impossible. After years of buried emotions, the former adult film star could no longer compress his angst and fear. “I'm thinking, ‘I want to die.

I don't have the guts to kill myself, but like how would I do it ... I just don't want to live anymore. There's no future, there's no one who's going to marry me, there's no employer who’s going to hire me ... I'm absolutely useless.’”

But rather than give up, Broome mustered the courage to leave the industry and rebuild his life and is now a husband, father and pastor, boldly defying the lies he told himself in the midst of his despair.
